Betty Luraine (Howard) Combs

Betty Luraine Combs, 82, of Springfield, passed away December 18, 2019 in Good Shepherd Village. She was born December 22, 1936 in Elliott County, Kentucky, the daughter of Estill and Gerina Fay (Flannery) Howard. Betty was a dedicated member of Faith in Christ Lutheran Church. She had been employed as a medical assistant for Doctors Little, Balochistan and Keller for 35 years. Survivors include a grandson: Casey Fisher, one brother; Jimmie (Elizabeth) Howard, special nephew; Kenneth Howard, several other nieces and nephews and her uncle; Rufus “Junior” Flannery. She was preceded in death by her husband; John Edward Combs on September 7, 2019, a daughter; Susan Luraine Combs, a brother; Donald Howard and her parents. Visitation will be held from 6:00PM until 8:00PM Monday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Tuesday in the funeral home with Pastor Jeff Lee officiating. Entombment will follow in Rose Hill Mausoleum.
