Ellis T. Lorents

Ellis T. Lorents, 66, of Springfield, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Springfield Regional Medical Center. He was born January 24, 1952 in New York, New York, son of the late Elliot and Elizabeth (Jones) Lorents. Ellis was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He had been employed at Home Run, Inc. in Xenia. Survivors include his life partner, Jan Near; one son, Ellis T. Lorents, Jr. of North Hampton; grandchildren, Bryce Lorents, Taylor Downard, Zoie Smith, and Lilly Smith; and two brothers, Eric and Edward Lorents. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Paul Dowdy officiating. Friends may visit with the family for one hour prior to the services.
