Ethel was born January 27, 1924 in Floyd County, Kentucky, one of 14 children of Maryland and Mary (Bates) Hall, ten survived until adulthood. She was preceded in death by her husband, Winfred Conley on January 22, 1972; her mother and father; eight brothers, Arlin, Albro, Hill, Charles, Mitchel, Maryland Jr., and Orville Hall, all of Kentucky, and Clay “Dick” (Gail) Hall of Florida; and two sisters, Magnolia and Hattie Hall. After retirement she went to night school to get her GED, as Kentucky had only offered education to 8th grade. She was a member of First Christian Church, a volunteer at the hospital, and she delivered meals on wheels. She enjoyed bowling on several leagues as well as traveling, and she had visited all 50 states with friends and Don’s Tours. She joined Workout Warehouse and seldom missed a day. Up until three years ago, she walked five miles a day plus did water aerobics. Then she was diagnosed with dementia. Ethel had many good friends at church and Workout Warehouse. Thank you to all her family and friends for their love and support. We feel so blessed to have had her in our lives, she will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Brian Borton officiating. Friends may visit with the family for one hour prior to the services.
