Hazel Lucile Parks, 96, of Springfield, passed away at 8:25 p.m. Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Villa Springfield in Springfield, OH. She was born December 18, 1921 in Wauchula, FL. She was the very much loved daughter of Jesse Gilbert Brown and Maude Ethel Wallace. Mrs. Parks graduated from Community Hospital School of Nursing through Springfield Community Hospital, and later became a Private Duty Nurse, a profession she dearly loved. Hazel believed in and followed the Golden Rule all of her life, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” Survivors include her three children, Gloria A. (Lewis) Gregory, Olympia, WA, Lynda D. (Louis) Tomsu, Mission, TX, Jon J. (Kathy) Parks, South Charleston, OH; grandchildren, Christopher L. Gregory, Louis J. Tomsu IV, Scott R. Tomsu, Jonathon M. Parks, Jessica N. (Campbell) Parks and Deidre B. Parks, Joshua D. Johnson and Jamie L. (Paulick) Moore; great-granddaughters, Shelby A. (Gregory) Vasquez, Adelynn R. Campbell, Ilya N. Campbell; and great-grandsons, Dylan J.Tomsu, Jack W.Tomsu, Henry J. Tomsu. She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Parks; her parents; one brother, Gilbert Brown; and one sister, Dorothy (Brown) Outcalt. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with the family from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m. Sunday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME.
