Mary Margaret (Mowery) Cornell

Mary Margaret Cornell, 52, of Springfield, passed away December 8, 2018 in Springfield Regional Medical Center. She was born May 25, 1966 in Springfield, the daughter of William and Evelyn (Short) Mowery. Mrs. Cornell enjoyed fishing and playing poker and had been employed at Beach Manufacturing. Survivors include her husband of 37 years; Jim Cornell, two daughters; Amy Cornell (Soda Evans) and Katie Cornel (Shane Rieske), Springfield, three grandchildren; Adrian, Keith and Robert, three brothers; Gary Dale (Michelle) Mowery, Jerry Allen (Trish) Seel and Matthew Roberts, Springfield, one sister; Susan (Vendell) Gilbert, Kentucky and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and step father; Ora Seel Jr.. sister; Joyce, brothers; Charles and Jimmy, and granddaughter; Sade. Visitation will be held from 5:00PM until 8:00PM Thursday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be held at 8:00PM Thursday with Rev. Betty Massie officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mrs. Cornell’s family.
