Melvin L. “Uncle Bub” Frost, Sr.

               Melvin L. “Uncle Bub” Frost, Sr., 91, of Springfield, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, September 21, 2018 in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 3, 1927 in Clark County, Ohio, the son of George and Mary (Wilson) Frost. Mr. Frost was a member of the Eastside Freewill Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, watching the Bengels, the Buckeyes and Nascar and spending time with his family. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy serving during World War II and was retired from Kelsey Hayes Speco following 30 years of service. Survivors include his loving wife of 70 years; Edith (White) Frost, four children; Kathleen (Rolfe) Jessee, Springfield, Michael Frost, Chicago, IL, Melvin L. (Karen) Frost Jr and Kelly (Karen) Frost all of Springfield, four grandchildren; Jason (Heather) Rutan, Zachary (Martha) Rutan, Kris (Angela) Frost and Jessica Frost, one step grandson; Rob (Kim) Jessee, four great grandchildren; Nicholas, Maddie, Claire and Jackson and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by sisters; Lilly, May, Audrey and Hazel, brothers; Noah, Floyd, Fred, Earl, Roy and Glenn and his parents. Visitation will be held from 5:00PM until 8:00PM Monday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Tuesday in the Eastside Freewill Baptist Church with Rev.
