Russell W. Lewis, 79, beloved father, brother, and friend, passed away May 22, 2019 at Friends Care Center in Yellow Springs. He was born February 13, 1940 on Cold Springs Road in Enon, Ohio, the son of Russell W. and Martha (White) Lewis. Russell had a wonderful sense of humor and was always quick with a joke. His pastimes included camping, fishing, playing poker, and watching the Reds and Bengals. He enjoyed a lengthy career as a General Contractor serving the Springfield area, and he was the owner of the Social Club. Survivors include three children and their spouses, Chris (Rebecca) Lewis, Carla (Greg) Schutte, Candace (Jeylon) VanZant; grandchildren, Matthew Lewis, Amanda Kleingers, Ashley Houser, Maegan Lewis, Clarissa Ramirez, Ryan Ramirez, Wesley VanZant, Sidney VanZant, Shawn Schutte, Kerry Schutte, Jessica Phillips, Jennifer Pfister; 18 great-grandchildren; and siblings, John, Roger, and Maxine. He was preceded in death by siblings, David, Phyllis, Donna Jean, Virgil, and by his parents. Funeral services will be held at 12 pm Tuesday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Rick Clos officiating. Friends may visit with the family for one hour prior to the services.
