Shirley Ann (Cattell) Newhart

Shirley A. Newhart, 79, of Springfield, passed away Monday, November 5, 2018 at Villa Springfield. She was born September 15, 1939 in Adams County, Ohio, the daughter of George and Minnie (Clifford) Cattell. Shirley was a member of the Clark County CB Club, and she enjoyed crocheting. Survivors include five children, Linda M. (Jim) Leonard of Mechanicsburg, Cynthia L. Hall of Springfield, Paul V. (Nicole) Newhart, Jr. of Florida, Kenneth Newhart, Sr. of Springfield, and Regina E. Newhart of St. Paris; 19 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; one sister, Carolyn S. Ballentine of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul V. Newhart, Sr.; daughter, Lori Lynn Newhart-Ruf; son-in-law, Larry P. Hall, Sr.; grandson, Larry P. Hall, Jr.; four brothers; one sister; and her parents. A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday from 6-8 p.m. in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME.
