Allen Conley Obituary

Allen Conley, age 65, of Springfield, Ohio, passed away at his home on Sunday, October 13th, 2024. Allen was born in Greenfield, Ohio on July 16th, 1959 to Cleo and Fredrick Conley. Allen Conley, in his own words, was not the greatest man alive. He was stubborn, cursed like a sailor, and was stuck in his own ways. He wasn’t perfect (most people aren’t). He made mistakes and poor choices, but it’s those things that made Allen who he was. He may not have been the greatest man alive but he was definitely the most hardworking and dedicated, from serving his county in the United States Army, to retiring from Spectrum after decades of hard labor. He was also extremely funny and showed his love through quick jabs and witty jokes. He loved his family, especially his grandkids and would brag about them to anyone who would listen. Allen took care of people, he provided for his wife Barb and stepped up to become a father to her children. He cherished the times he took his son, Dustin, fishing and he of course also loved and enjoyed the memories he made with his bonus sons, Phil and Bubba. He was a strong man and a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be greatly missed by everyone who got the chance to know him. Allen is survived by his wife, Barb Conley; his son, Dustin (Kristen) Conley; step-children, Johnny, Katrina, and Rebekah Stone; his siblings, Tammy Conley Stiles, Annette Kunckle, Brenda Gannon, and Clay Beaver; his grandchildren, Hannah, Carson, Arianah, Alexis, Lily, Aphina, Evalynn, Khia, and Khali; his honorary sons, Phil and Bubba; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fredrick and Cleo and his brother, Ronnie Conley. A celebration of Allen’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family just asks that the next time you crack open a Busch to take a moment and remember Allen for the man he was. Arrangements are being handled by the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME. Condolences may be shared at www.jkzfh.com.
