Angelika Wagner Obituary

Angelika B. Wagner, a beacon of light and love in her community, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2025, in Springfield, Ohio, at the age of 81. Born on August 5, 1944, in Krofdorf, Germany, to the late Adolf and Enna Wern, Angelika's journey was marked by her spirited nature, loving heart, and intelligent mind.

She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph "Pete" Wagner, and together they shared a life full of joy and companionship until his passing. Angelika was preceded in death by her brother, Ronald DuBois. She leaves behind a legacy through her three daughters, Diane Phillips, Teresa Payton, and Lisa Jo Rice, who will forever cherish her memory and the endless love she bestowed upon them. Angelika's spirit lives on in her grandchildren, Danielle, Kelsee, Devon, Jaleeya, and her great-grandchildren, Cam'ren, Jordan, Jewelle, Lylah, Liam, and Kinsley, as well as her great-great-grandchild, Grayson, who all brought immense joy to her later years. She also leaves behind a beloved dog named Buttercup.

Angelika's dedication to caring for others was evident in her professional life as a proud Nurse and STNA. She served her community with compassion, always going above and beyond to ensure the comfort and well-being of her patients. Her commitment to service did not end with her workday; she was an active member of Elderly United and the Liedertafel Club of Springfield, where she formed many lifelong friendships and contributed to numerous community projects.

An avid cook and homemaker, Angelika found pleasure in the simple joys of life, from preparing meals for her family to maintaining a warm and welcoming home. Her adventurous spirit led her to embrace activities such as skiing, bicycling, and running, through which she not only kept herself active but also inspired others to pursue their passions. Her spirituality led her life daily. She attended Dream City Church with Victor Lawwill as pastor.

Angelika B. Wagner will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to guide and inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her. Her life was a testament to the power of love, the strength of family, and the impact one person can have on the lives of many. She has left us with a treasure trove of memories that will be cherished and celebrated for generations to come. Arrangements are being made by JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME. A gathering of friends and family is scheduled for Monday, August 18, 2025, beginning at 5:00 PM with services at 6:00 PM officiated by Victor Lawwill. Per Angelika's wishes, she will be cremated.
