Asbury "Barry" Johnson, Jr.

Asbury “Barry” Johnson Jr., 61, of Springfield, passed away April 23, 2023, in Springfield Regional Medical Center. He was born November 30, 1961, in Springfield the son of Asbury and Helen Louise (Reed) Johnson Sr. Barry enjoyed fishing, playing pool but most of all riding his motorcycle with his many friends and enjoying their company. He will aways be remembered as a very fun loving individual. He had been the owner of Johnson’s Lawn and Tree Service. Survivors include seven children; Sharon (Chris) Crosier, Christina (Timothy) Adams, Nicole (Joseph) Utley, Megan (Robbi) Bryan, Michael (Bre) Holland, Brandon (Tasfiah) Holland and Kenny (Iesha) King, nine grandchildren, siblings; Terry (Debbie) Johnson, Larry Johnson, Linda Hess (Randy Estes), Rose (David) Holland and Bonnie Johnson, many nieces and nephews, his beloved dog: Jake and the entire caring biker community. He was preceded in death by a son; Brian Eugene Johnson, a sister; Edith Johnson, brothers; Raymond, William, John, Paul and Michael and his parents. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Monday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Dan Brooks officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00 Noon until the time of the services.
