Ashley Ann (Thornton) DeRosa

Ashley Ann (Thornton) DeRosa, 41, of Springfield, Ohio, passed away May 24, 2026, at the Ohio State University Medical Center. She was born April 16, 1985, in Springfield, Ohio, the daughter of Bruce Thornton and Tammy Wildman. She worked at Wooded Glenn and the Ohio Masonic Home, where she loved to care for the residents. Ashley enjoyed her life to the fullest. She loved nature and everything outdoors. Ashley is survived by her husband, Jay DeRosa; children, Brianna Hursh, Benjamin Hursh II, and Jase Williams; stepchildren, Brooke Williams, Maddie Williams, Colton Whittington, Makayla Whittington and Hailey Hursh; father and stepmother, Bruce and Jennifer Thornton; sister, Jennifer Cornell (Tony); grandchildren, Lani, Reese, David, Layla, and Carter; brothers, Zach Hedge (Taylor), Jake Thornton, Jeremy Lightfoot (Heather); and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother. A celebration of life for Ashley will be held Sunday, May 31, 2026, from 2PM to 5PM at the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME.
