Barbara Jean (Horton) Porter

     Barbara Jean Porter, 75, of Springfield, passed away September 16, 2025, in her home surrounded by her loving family She was born July 11, 1950, in Springfield, the daughter of Kenneth and Mona (Fleming) Horton. Mrs. Porter was a member of the DreamCity Church. She enjoyed crocheting, karaoke, watching sports on television especially WWE and spending time with her beloved family. She had been employed as a cook at Wittenberg University. Survivors include five children; Monica Lasiter (Philip), Aaron Porter (Chrissy), Jack Porter, Missy Porter (Joey Gonzalez) and Jeff Porter., eighteen grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren, two brothers; Richard Horton (Treena) and Charles Horton (Amy) and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; Delmar Porter, a brother; John Horton and her parents. Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM Thursday, September 25, 2025, in the JONES KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Victor Lawwell officiating.
