Carl William ("Bill") Drake Jr.

    Carl William “Bill” Drake Jr., 62, of Springfield, passed away August 24,2024 in Kettering Health Springfield. He was born September 18, 1961, in Springfield, the son of Carl William and Dorothy Ellen (Chandler) Drake Sr. Bill enjoyed fishing, camping and serving other people but most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was the former owner of Ron’s Gas Line Service.  Survivors include his beloved wife; Sandra (Parks) Drake, two daughters; Brittany Nicole (Matthew Allan) Drake-Hayes and Janice Lee Iddings, four grandchildren; Dalton, Elora, Parker and Jaxson, siblings; Louis (Diana) Drake and Linda (Richard) Whaley, sister-in-law; Brenda Parks and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter; Matea Lee Drake, a sister; Marilyn Johnson and his parents. Memorial services will be held at 4:00PM Sunday, September 1, 2024, in Life In Christ Church, 1100 Sunset Avenue, Springfield with Pastors Migel Ten and Billy Taylor officiating.
