Chad Benjamin Everhart

Chad Benjamin Everhart, a cherished father, grandfather, son and brother, went home to be with his Lord & Savior Jesus Christ on August 21, 2025, at his home in Springfield, Ohio. Chad was born on March 17, 1975, in Springfield, Ohio. Chad is leaving behind a legacy of warmth and love for his family which includes his son Gunner Levi Everhart (Tay) of Springfield, Ohio. Also surviving is his father, Donald Everhart (Myrna) of Springfield and his mother, Elizabeth Kay Shirk, also of Springfield, Ohio. Also missing “Grandpa” Chad will be his grandson, Corey Michael Everhart and a soon arriving granddaughter, Jodeci Kay Everhart. Chad is survived by his sister, Donna “Lori” Hoefer and brother, Scott T. Everhart (Sabrina), all of Springfield. He will be missed by his nieces, Brittany L. Rider (Kyle), Cheyenne Howard, and Hunter Howard and nephew, Travis S. Everhart (Grace). Great nieces, Coroline Epping, Emma Everhart, Lailianna Jones and Khloe Rider as well as a great-nephew, Noah Rider. Chad is leaving behind many, many friends and co-workers and a very special love of his life, Beverly McKinney, all of whom will miss his kindness and his heart. Chad attended River Valley High School in Bidwell, Ohio. After moving back to Springfield, Ohio, Chad worked for Klosterman’s Bakery, then he moved to the new Topre’ of America, where he worked as a welder, a job he loved. Chad had many interests such as playing baseball when he was younger. He loved the OSU Buckeye’s and Cleveland Browns football games. Chad had a special passion for Rock & Roll. He attended many concerts and especially enjoyed the band “Kiss.” In the last years his happy place was at the C.J. Brown Reservoir with a fishing pole in his hand. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 27, 2025, in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Paul Dowdy officiating.
