Charles Edward Grooms

Charles Edward Grooms, 45, of Springfield passed away March 7, 2026, in his home. He was born December 19, 1980, in Springfield, the son of Harold E. and Karen Sue (Mowell) Grooms. Charles enjoyed working on cars and spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his children; Charles Grooms (McKenzie McCarter), Liana Grooms. Leanna Grooms (Tony Rice), Jamie Grooms. Emma Shaefer, Brayden Schaefer and Tianeea Grooms., grandchildren; Ryleigh, Charles Jr., Jay’siah, Westley. Tony Jr. Landen, Grayson and Bentlee, siblings Brian Toner, Elizabeth Ginn, Harold Grooms. Michael Grooms and Melvina Blackburn and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife; Tianeea Grooms and his parents. A gathering of family and friends to celebrate Charles’ life will be held from 2:00PM until 5:00PM Saturday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME. Condolences may be shared at www.jkzfh.com.
