Obituary
Christopher A. Puryear, 63, of Springfield, passed away August 14, 2023 at Springfield Regional Medical Center. He was born January 16, 1960 in Richmond, Virginia, the son of Edward Franklin and Lucinda (Boyd) Puryear. Christopher was a veteran of the United States Army. Survivors include his wife, Cynthia R. (Johnson) Puryear; father, Edward Franklin Puryear; stepson, Antwain Johnson, Sr.; brothers, Calvin, Carl, and David Puryear; sister, Cynthia Puryear; seven grandchildren; one great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother. Christopher will be buried in the Rawlings Family Cemetery in Chase City, Virginia. Arrangements are being handled by the Jones-Kenney-Zechman Funeral Home.
