Clarence David Rose, Jr., 82, of South Vienna, passed away on January 3, 2025 in his home. He was born June 15, 1942 in Crab Orchard, West Virginia, the son of Gertie Mae (Burton) and Clarence D. Rose, Sr. Clarence loved anything to do with cars and had been a self-employed auto mechanic with C & W Auto Repair. He was recently baptized into the Catholic church. Survivors include his wife, Ellen Marie (Oyler) Rose, who he married on St. Patrick’s Day in 1968; three children, Deborah (Harry) Hughes, Angela Marie (Patrick) Collins; and David Rose (Carol Bechtel); daughter-in-law, Terri Maxwell; sister, Donna Mathess; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Larry Maxwell; brothers, Lake, George, and Howard Maxwell; stepfather, Virgil Atkins; and his parents.
