Clarence E. Thurman I, 78, of Springfield, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2024, in Northwood Skilled Care Center. He was born July 26, 1946, in Springfield, the son of Rodney and Ruth Thurman, Mr. Thurman was a member of the Union Club, and he enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his loving family. Clarence was a graduate of Springfield North High School and had retired from Cooper Cameron. Survivors include two children; Marci (Clint) Pechacek and Ed (Deann) Thurman II, grandchildren; Andrew Hendrixson, Brackney Pechacek, Jason (Brittany) Hard, Amber Hard, Michelle Edgington, Jessyca Jackson, Nathaniel Goble, Franklin Goble, Barbara Thurman and Lisa Thurman, several great grandchildren, siblings; Charlie Thurman and Ruthann Puckett, several nieces and nephews and special friend; Judy Frabotta. He was preceded in death by his wives; Anna Lee Thurman and Betty Thurman, a daughter; Paula Goble, a grandson; Clarence Edward Thurman III, siblings; Rodney, Donnie and Bobby Thurman and Jane Moore.
