Donald Ray Preston

     Donald Ray Preston, 65, of Springfield, passed away February 19, 2026, in Springfield Regional Medical Center. He was born March 13, 1960, in Springfield the son of Lewis and Ella Mae (Jordan) Preston. Mr. Preston truly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and family. He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years; Sonja (Parks) Preston, four children; Linda Parks, Donald “Sqeek” Preston, Ashley Preston and Ricky (Crystall) Preston, ten grandchildren; Courtney (Chris) Parks, Christina Parks, Dorothy Parks, Michael Parks, Jordan Conley, Jimmy Conley, Nevaeh Preston, Ricky Preston Jr. Caleb Preston and Lucas Preston, eleven great grandchildren; Aubree, Raiden, Mackenzie, Christopher, Thomas, Malinda, Elijah, Adrian, Mya “Pork Chop”. Carson and Jimmy Jr. two brothers; Harold Preston and James “Mike” Preston and several nieces and nephews and special friend; Petey Dyer. He was preceded in death by a sister; Linda Wiseman, two brothers; Lewis “Buddy” Preston and Richard “Bobby” Preston and his parents. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Wednesday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Rick Clos officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the services.
