Donna Mae Sanders

Donna Mae Sanders, 64, of Springfield, passed away May 6, 2021 in her home. She was born September 6, 1956 in Springfield, the daughter of Beatrice (North) and Oliver Sanders, Sr. Donna enjoyed drinking her coffee and cooking desserts, and she loved spending time with her grandkids and her dogs. Survivors include three children, Jamie (Michael) Hankel, Theo McCoy, and John Applin; grandchildren, Devon Sanders (Jacey Bass), Jazzlyn Sanders, Javon Sanders, Kar’son Hankel, and Jordan Hankel; siblings, Candice (Martin) Lickliter, Ruth (Rob) Gibson, Karen Bronstetter, and Michael (Doreen) Sanders; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her significant other, Theophilous McCoy; siblings, Ivy Pennywitt and Oliver Sanders, Jr.; and her parents. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5-7 pm Wednesday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to help with expenses.
