Obituary
Donnie E. Trent, age 88 of Springfield, OH passed away at home Friday, September 8, 2023. He was born July 5, 1935, in Franklin, OH to the late Enard F. and Bertha Trent. Don was a veteran of the Marine Corp serving in Korea. Back in the states, he worked at NCR, the NIBCO foundry, and retired from The A&B Foundry in Franklin, OH. He never met a stranger and enjoyed socializing while finding bargains at garage sales. He was a prolific outdoorsmen with the StarCraft Camper Club. He enjoyed fishing and spending his winters in central Florida since his retirement. Don was a Son, Brother, Uncle, Dad, Papaw and a Big Papaw. He is preceded in death by 13 other siblings and numerous other family members. Don is survived by his wife of 68 years, Roseann, and their children , Mark (Kathryn), Craig (Dawn), Angela (Leon), Doug (Noyra) and Dwight, as well as Karen (honorary daughter) and David (honorary son), nine grandchildren: Jessica, Tara, Aaron, Allysson, Allison, Shane, Alice, Kaitlyn and one who adopted him as her own Grandfather, Erin, and nine great-grandchildren: Gabriel, Mailynne, Mina, Presley, Blake, Ellie, Audrey, Emerson, and Elliot, and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and close friends will gather at the Jones-Kenney-Zechman Funeral Home. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the Salvation Army or Goodwill.
