She was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years Richard Newland, and by her parents, mother-in- law Olive Newland and lifelong friends Betty Walker and Margie Huffman.
She is survived by her son Greg and (Karla Sue) Newland, grandson Jerrod (Erin) Newland, granddaughter Sarah Newland, great grandchildren Andrew and Avery Newland. She was a member of the Clark County Women’s bowling association Hall of Fame and was proud of her career high 289 game. She became very involved with her extended families of Charles and Mary Lou Fraley and Rich and Karen Rosinski. She lived in Springfield for 90 years and relocated to Greenville in 2016 to be with her family and great grandchildren who she saw every day. The kids knew there was always hugs and treats at “2 Grams”. Some of her finest memories are of watching them play and fish in the family pond at the lodge in which she lived while enjoying the beautiful Darke County sunsets.
