Dorothy Jean ("Dottie") McIlroy

Dorothy Jean “Dottie” McIlroy, 53, of Dayton, passed away Thursday, September 4, 2025, in Miami Valley Hospital. She was born April 26, 1972, in Springfield, the daughter of Viola McIlroy and Dan Florio. Dottie was a member of the Am Vets #24 in Dayton, She enjoyed playing pool, shooting darts, cooking and truly enjoyed being with her loving family and many friends. She is survived by her loving companion; Burl Bowling, siblings; Ronnie McIlroy and Alyce “Ali” (Michael) Matthews, nieces and nephews; Kiki, Malcum, Cali, Michael, Cherokee, Austin and Raesean, several great nieces and great nephews and special friends; Carol Adkins and Kim Mullins. She was preceded in death by a sister; Shawnta Griffeth and her mother. Visitation will be held from 5:00PM until 8:00PM Thursday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME, 1002 East High Street, Springfield, Ohio 45505. Funeral service will follow at 8:00PM with Rev.
