Douglas Neville Obituary

Douglas Neville, a cherished husband and proud Army veteran, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2025, at the age of 75 in Springfield, Ohio. Born on July 20, 1949, in Mechanicsburg, Ohio, Douglas was a man whose friendly demeanor and kind heart left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Douglas is survived by his loving wife, Kristy Neville, who stood by his side in love and companionship. He was preceded in death by his father, Waldo Neville, his mother, Catherine (Gibson) Neville, his brother, Dean Neville, and his sister, Barbara King. His memory will be cherished and kept alive by his beloved niece, Talisa Lyons, along with numerous friends and relatives whose lives he touched.

After serving his country with honor and distinction in the Army, Douglas returned to civilian life and embarked on a career as a truck driver. His time on the road gave him a sense of freedom and adventure, and he often shared stories of the places he'd seen and the people he'd met along the way. His work ethic and dedication to his job were evident to all who worked with him, and his absence will be deeply felt within the trucking community.

Douglas's passion for video games was more than a hobby; it was a way for him to connect with others and stay young at heart. He could often be found with a controller in hand, immersed in the latest game, always eager to explore new worlds and challenges. As we say goodbye to Douglas Neville, we celebrate a life that exemplifies friendship, loyalty, and the pursuit of happiness. He will be dearly missed, but the memories he created will continue to bring light to those who were fortunate enough to know him. Douglas's journey through life was one of purpose and pleasure, and his story will be told with fondness and admiration for generations to come. Arrangements are being made by JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME. Douglas will be cremated and laid to rest at the Dayton National Veterans Cemetery, per his wishes.
