Ernest A. ("Sonny") Holt Sr.

      Ernest A. “Sonny” Holt, 67, of Springfield, passed away Sunday, January 3, 2021 in Springfield Regional Medical Center. He was born February 7, 1953 in Greenfield, Ohio, the son of Earnest V. and Irene Elizabeth (Kinnison) Holt. Mr. Holt enjoyed shooting pool and playing darts. He was employed with Select Tech at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. Survivors include his loving wife of 37 years; Karen (Scott) Holt, two children; Andy (Nicole) Holt Jr. and Michelle D. Arnold, the mother of his children; Vickie Brock, a step son; Michael (Brandy) Brooks, grandchildren; Zachary, Luke, Braden, Trevor, Janelle, Breana and Evan, two great grandchildren; Hazel and Evelyn, one brother; Terry Lee (Patty) Holt, a very good friend; Randy Wetherholt and Sonny’s beloved dog: Diesel. He was preceded in death by two brothers; James and Emery Holt and his parents. Visitation will be held from 5:00PM until 8:00PM Friday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be held at 9:30AM Saturday in the funeral home with Pastor Chuck Graham officiating. Masks will be required. Burial will follow in Ferncliff Cemetery.
