Floyd Frost Jr.

               Floyd Frost Jr., 87, of Springfield, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2023, in Springfield Regional Medical Center. He was born December 7, 1935, in Springfield, the son of Floyd and Maude Viola (Cline) Frost Sr. Mr. Frost was a member of the Full Gospel Community Church. He enjoyed playing bingo, bowling, watching Wittenberg University basketball and football, collecting hot wheel cars and spending time with his loving family and friends. He had been employed at Speco (Kelsey Hayes) and Community Hospital and was a Veteran of the United States Army. Floyd is survived by three children; Joseph (Angie) Frost Sr., Paul Frost and UDora (Chuck) Hughes, five grandchildren; Joseph Frost Jr., Jesse (Erica) Frost, Timothy “T.J.” Cline, Lindsey (John) Nesmith Sr. and Jessica Clay, eight great grandchildren; Kyleigh Frost, Dani Frost, Alyssia Frost, Jeremiah Frost, Courtney Nesmith, Kathleen Nesmith, Dominic Cline and Timothy Cline III, one sister; Lucille Jones, one brother; James Frost and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife; Florence M, (Malone) Frost in 2003, a daughter; Valina Frost, a great granddaughter; Sara Nesmith, siblings; Ivan Frost, Charles Frost and Betty Brooks and his parents. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Wednesday in the Full Gospel Community Church, 2751 May Street, Springfield, with Pastor David DeHart officiating. Friends may visit with Floyd’s family for one hour prior to the services in the church. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Condolences may be shared at www.jkzfh.com.
