George William McKinster, Sr.

George William McKinster, Sr., 61, of Springfield, went to be with his son George William Jr. and his faithful dog King. George was born on February 11, 1965 to James "Jimmy" and Clara (Henry) McKinster. 

As it seems there are more stories than could be put in a book for the LEGEND he is, it would be no surprise that he was known by many. Everyone who even had ever just heard his name knew my baby was a Tow Truck driver, as a passion and an occupation, the best Driver of anything most had known (trust me, he got a lot of calls before the last few months of his life), he was an impeccable landscaper, master engineer of ideas and "fix its", and he was the man a lot called to help when they had their backs against the wall...to which he would usually ride in, fix it, tell 'em he loved 'em and ride out! 

George is survived by the love of his life (some of his final words) and soul-mate Dorothy "Dottie" (Deneca) McKinster, daughters Nancy Irene McKinster, Amanda (Robert) McKinster-Eicholtz, Christi Deneca-Lisch (Richard Butler), Ashley Lisch (Brian Adkins), sons Travis McKinster (Sara Rice) and Rusty LeValley-McKinster, his sisters Robin (Clyde) Suttles, Teresa McKinster (Sam), brother James "Jr" (late Shawnee) McKinster Jr, and sister Billie Jo Woods (late Ray Castle), sister in law Teresa Saba (Tommy) and brother in law Donald Burry Jr *Lil Butch* (Billie), mother and father in laws Mary and Troy Koons, grandchildren Chad Adkins, Jeremy "JJ" Dover, Iliyas McKinster, Nevaeh and LeAnne Eicholtz (Dane Quake), Dallas Lewis, Noah Lisch, Luna and Oakley Adkins, Presley Mason, Chloe McKinster (Trey Hall), Travis McKinster Jr., Gavin Lannum, Brylee McKinster, Billy Hall, Blaze Hall and George McKinster III, great grandsons Trey Hall Jr "Biscuit" and Malachi Lewis "Ki" and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins with very, very special members Anna (Tony) Kimble, Alicia Capper, Carl McKinster, and Chad Suttles as well as James Conley *Bubby*, Tom Ivory and John Booth.

He was preceded in death by his parents Jimmy and Clara, his side kick son George W. McKinster Jr, his brother David Henry and sister Cindy McKinster-Accord, as well as maternal and paternal grandparents, aunts and uncles and too many close friends. 

Visiting Hours are:

Wednesday July 1, 2026 5-8pm and Thursday July 2, 2026 12 noon-1pm with services directly after at 1pm at Victory Faith Church on the corner of Pleasant Street and S. Fountain Ave. Springfield, Ohio. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park, to which he will be transported in his 1976 Ford Pickup.
