Jackson K. “Red” Unangst, 63, of Mechanicsburg, passed away November 10, 2021 in his home surrounded by family following an extended illness. He was born August 11, 1958 in Springfield, OH. Jackson was a hard worker, following in his grandfather and father’s footsteps in construction. He loved woodworking and crafting and enjoyed riding motorcycles. He was preceded in death by his mother, Barb Unangst. Survivors include his father, Delmer Unangst; younger brothers, Mike and Vince (Holly) Unangst; daughter, Sarina Unangst (Josh Trapp); son, Cody (Courtney) Unangst; grandkids, Kylan and Koden Unangst; nephews, Jake and Dylan Unangst; and ex-wife and long-term friend, Cheryl Unangst. No services are planned at this time, family will hold a celebration of Red’s life with the date TBA. Arrangements are being handled by the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME.
