James R. Adams

James R. Adams, aged 92, passed away at home on September 10, 2024, in Springfield, Ohio. He was born on January 30, 1932, in Scioto County, Ohio to the late Lana and Lottie W. (Walters) Adams. James was a Master Plumber and co-owner of Jim Adams & Son Plumbing. He is survived by his wife of 73 years Margaret “Joanne” (LeValley) Adams; sons, Steve (Theresa) and Mike (Patty) Adams; daughter, Julie Zimmer (Don); grandchildren, David (Stephanie), Emily, Adam, Erik (Brittany), Mallory, and Joshua (Allie); great-grandchildren, Grayson, Blakely, Reed, Philip, Lukas, Lennon, Levi, Logan, Theodore, Louis, Henry, and Claire; brothers, John E. Adams, Ray (Reva) Adams, and Doug Adams; sisters, Juanita M. Lowder, Winona A. Donnal, and Sue (Harold) Hollingshead; In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Helen L. Horton; and brothers, William “Bill” T. Adams, Tommy, Herman, and Harry Adams. Friends and family may call on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm at the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will begin at noon with Pastor Rick Clos officiating. Burial will follow in Ferncliff Cemetery.
