Jeananne Mitchell

Jeananne Mitchell, 80, of Springfield, Ohio, gained her wings on June 24, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born to Ellen and Richard Schultz, Jeananne was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Carl and Don Schultz; and her beloved eldest daughter, Kimberly Banzhof.

Jeananne leaves behind her husband of 64 years, Joseph Mitchell, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and partnership. She is also survived by her sister, Sue DePriest; daughters, Valerie Adams and Kathy Moore; seven cherished grandchildren: Julie, Kyle, Jamie, Mark, Danielle, Jenna, and Donald; and seven adored great-grandchildren: Desyree, Madison, Miloh, Lily, Emma, Ayla, and Hudson.

Jeananne will be remembered for her heart of gold, her deep love for animals, and the unbreakable bond she shared with her family.
Before her illness, she found joy in reading books, collecting and wearing jewelry, and treating herself to freshly done nails — small pleasures that brought her great happiness. Her warmth, strength, and kindness touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Private services for immediate family will be held, and Jeananne will be laid to rest at Rose Hill Burial Park. Arrangements have been entrusted to the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME. Condolences may be shared at www.jkzfh.com.
