Jerry Dennis Baker Sr.

Jerry Dennis Baker Sr., 78, of Springfield, passed away April 1, 2026, in Villa Springfield. He was born on February 10, 1948, in Springfield, the son of Donald Eugene and Betty Jean (Billing) Baker. Mr. Baker was a member of the North Hampton Community Church and the Anthony Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed fishing but most of all his favorite times were spent with his loving family.  He was a Veteran of the United States Army and was retired from Navistar following 35 years of service. Survivors include two children; Jennifer (Robert) Cordle and Jerry D. Baker, Jr., grandchildren; Joshua Sipe, Danielle (Ronnie) Hollar, Lauren (Jordan) Cage, Chelsea Cordle, Zachary (Chao) Cordle, Jenna Sipe, Isaiah Baker, Matthew Cordle, Isabella Baker,  and Sophia Baker, great grandchildren; Karlie, Averie, Aubrey, Bentley, Graham, Parker, Grayson, Madeline and Oakley, siblings; Donna Cron, David (Maria) Baker and Julie Baker and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife; Patricia Baker, June 7, 2015, and his parents. Visitation will be held from 12 Noon until 2:00PM Saturday, April 4, in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME with funeral services immediately following at 2:00PM with Pastor Jim Welch officiating. Interment services will be held at 2:00PM on Tuesday, April 7, in the Lawrenceville Cemetery.
