John Eric Hartman

John Eric Hartman, 50, of Springfield, passed away October 21, 2025, in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 14, 1975, in Springfield, the son of John and Nancy (Catron) Hartman, John enjoyed jam bands, acoustic music and being with his "phamily" and friends. He was a retired chef having worked in many Springfield restaurants. He is survived by his beloved wife of 25 years; Janice (Markel) Hartman, five children; Isabelle Mensink, John Hartman (Autumn McCann), Margaret Hartman (Carl Smith), Jessica Hartman and Samual Hartman (Daisa Obannion), grandchildren; Clairabelle, Amelia, Solomon, Jayden and one on the way and his father, who raised him; Clyde (Sonny) Catron. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm Wednesday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Rick Clos officiating. Friends may visit with the "phamily" for one hour prior to the services. Burial will follow in Vale Cemetery. Condolences may be shared at www.jkzfh.com.
