John Eugene Franklin

     John Eugene Franklin, 75, of Springfield, passed away January 1, 2026, in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 13, 1950, in Springfield, the son of Marvin and Annie (Atkins) Franklin. Mr. Franklin enjoyed fishing and had been employed as a truck driver for many years. Survivors include his spouse; Deborah Franklin. two children; John A. (Jennifer) Franklin and Joni Kettlehake (Duane Rice), grandchildren; Tyler, Andrew, Taylor, Toby. Jessica and Courtney, great grandchildren; Rylan, Braedyn, Bryant and Bayleigh, former spouse; Sheila Franklin, niece; Tammy Franklin and great niece; Michelle.
