John Levi McClanahan Jr.

     John Levi McClanahan Jr., born December 15, 1972, went home to be with his Lord May 12, 2025. John was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and nephew. His pride and joy were his wife, Sandy and his two sons, Levi and his look alike Austin. He gave all of his heart and soul unselfishly for them so they could have all they ever needed or wanted. He was born the third child of four children, the only son of Victoria (South) and John McClanahan Sr. He loved his three sisters; Jennifer, Bobbie and Mandy. He would often tease and torment them, but he would always be there when they needed him. John was a member of the Love Light Gospel Chapel and worked for Greene County Parks and Trails. He enjoyed mowing and being outside keeping up the parks and bike trails. He was very proud of the great job he did for them, often going past one and saying, “I mowed that park today or I took care of the Jamestown Bike Path”. Also surviving are nephews; Chris, Zach, Peyton and Cole, niece; Macy, sister-in-law; Robin, several cousins and special friends; Rick and Dave. He was preceded in death by uncles; Bill, Mike, Jerry, Rick, Leo and very special uncle; Junior and aunt; Cindy. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday in the Love Light Gospel Chapel. 8604 Selma Pike, South Charleston, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon Saturday in the chapel with Pastor Nathan Carey officiating. Burial will follow in the Love Light Gospel Cemetery.
