John Daniel Self

      John Daniel Self, 48, of Springfield, passed away August 19, 2024, in his home. He was born November 20, 1975, in Springfield, the son of Dwayne Self and Mylie (Justice) (Self) Efferin.  Mr. Self was a member of the Greater Life Church. He enjoyed fishing, cooking his special meals, long rides in the car and spending time with his loving family. John is survived by his beloved wife of 22 years; Tina (Leach) Self, his mother and stepfather; Mylie and Michael Efferin, two children; Jacob Daniel Lee Self and Rebeca Lynn Self, stepdaughter; Nicole Ackerman and brother; Dwayne Self Jr.  He was preceded in death by his father; Dwayne Self Sr. and his cousin; Charles Terry Cochran Jr. Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM Monday in the JONES-KENEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Paul Dowdy officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the services. Burial will follow in Ferncliff Cemetery. Condolences may be shared at www.jkzfh.com.
