Joseph Walter Wren

          Joseph Walter Wren, 82, of Springfield, passed away September 11, 2023, in Springfield Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 21, 1941, in Springfield, the son of Paul Joseph and Mary (Zimmerman) Wren. Joe attended the Catholic Church and was a member of the Eagles, He loved to fish and spend time with his beloved family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jo had been employed at SPECO and he was retired from Cascade Corporation. Survivors include his loving wife of 32 years; Carla (Thompson) Wren, five children; Dawn (Don) Gram, Christy Hillard (Chris), Tracy (Andy) Dickens, Paul (Nicki) Laney and Gina Fidder (John), many grandchildren and great grandchildren, sisters; Ann Walters and Betty (Ed) Buchanan and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by sisters; Pat Keller, Mary Jo Tucker and Bernie Channell and his parents. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Monday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME with Deacon Earl Rogers officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the services.
