Judy (Parsons) Heil

Heil, Judy (83) of Springfield died on June 15, 2026, in Springfield, Ohio. She was born on September 17, 1942, in Detroit, Michigan, daughter of Henry and Ann (Nelson) Parsons. For 32 years she taught English and American History in Detroit Public Schools. Her life was centered around her church and family. For relaxation, she gardened and read. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pastor William T. Heil Jr., her step-son James Christopher Heil, and her brother William Henry Parsons. She is survived by her step-daughter Christina Rose Bush (Dennis), sisters Edith Vrooman, Barbara Bendure (Don), brother James Parsons (Kathy) and sister-in-law Virginia Parsons plus many nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at 11:00AM at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 712 N. Fountain Ave., Springfield with Pastor Don Humphreys officiating. Friends may visit with Judy’s family for one hour prior to the service in the church. Burial will be in Nashville, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite food bank.
