Justin Ellis Harris (67) of Springfield, Ohio passed peacefully at his home and went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in the early morning hours of November 6th.
Justin is survived by Pamela, his wife of 26 years, sons, Jason (Brevard, NC), Shane (Jill) (Merritt, NC), Jeff, Kyle, and Chase all of Springfield, OH and daughters Lori Fugate (Troy, OH), Missy Taylor (Columbus, OH),Tracy Osborne (San Diego, CA), brothers Dana (Mel) Harris, Tom (Brenda) Harris and sisters Diana (Joe) Szenay, and Marilyn Clarkson, along with many other loved ones including grandchildren, nephews, nieces and friends.
Justin was born March 29th , 1956 to Wirt and Betty Harris. Other than a husband, father, brother, uncle and friend, Justin was a veteran of the United States Army from 1975-1978 and spent his life as a carpenter working with his hands. His last project was the home he built where he and Pamela lived. He was a musician holding tight to the bluegrass/acoustic roots planted by his dad, that he also planted in his children. Justin was a lifetime member of Amvets Post 25 and a dedicated chicken man raising American Gamefowl at various times in his life.
The family would like to thank two very special people in Justins life. His sister-in-law Bonnie Johnson who spent so many valuable hours at his side in the last months of his life and his dear friend Gary Rodgers who Justin enjoyed many years of friendship.
Funeral services will be held at 6:30 pm Thursday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME with Justin’s son, Shane, officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 5-6:30 pm. Condolences may be shared at www.jkzfh.com.
