Karen (Scott) Holt

Karen Holt, 67, of Springfield, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2026 at the Ohio State University Medical Center. She was born November 4, 1958 in Springfield, the daughter of Thomas E. and Mallie (Litteral) Scott. Karen was an excellent student, graduating early from Springfield North High School. She was the office manager at the Heart of Ohio Antique Center for many years. She loved to read and enjoyed playing euchre with friends and family. One of her favorite activities was driving around the reservoir and counting the deer. She had a big heart and will be missed by all who knew her. Survivors include her special beloved dog, Diesel; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Brandy Brooks; grandchildren, Breana and Evan Brooks; siblings, Steve Fife, Cheryl “Sissy” (Daniel) Raines, Sharon (Tip) Brooks (twin sister), Mark (Irma) Scott, Tommy (Tisha) Scott, Susie (Charlie) Davis, and Lisa Fairchild; brother-in-law, Terry Holt; best friend, Randy Wetherholt; step-children, Michelle Arnold and Andy (Nicole) Holt; special friends, Willie and Patty; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest "Sonny" Holt on January 3, 2021, and her parents. Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm Wednesday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME.
