Karen Marie (Propst) Parsons

Karen Marie Parsons, 70, of Springfield, passed away on Friday, February 6, 2026 at Springfield Regional Medical Center. She was born on March 9, 1955, the daughter of Mary Elizabeth (Singer) Propst. Karen loved to crochet, enjoyed collecting quarters, and most of all loved spending time with her family. Survivors include her loving boyfriend of 38 years, James Halstead; four children, Leonard (Amy) Parsons, Amy Jo Henslee, Robert (Mae) Parsons, and Mary Vititoe; siblings, Cecelia Fain, Bill (Garnetta) Propst, and Rosemary Mercer; grandchildren, Serra, Cody, Katlin, Trinity, Megan, Brady, Matthew, Elijah, Alex, Kaydon, Gabriel, Azrael, Jackie, Jacob, Jimmy, Jazmin, and Jaydon Carl; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Donald Parsons in 1984; siblings, Sandy, Carol, Vicky, Mike, and Steven; and her mother. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, February 13 in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Miles Nicholson officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 12-1 pm.
