Kenneth "Kenny" F. Heironimus

Kenneth F. “Kenny” Heironimus, 86, of Springfield, passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 12, 1939 in Springfield, the son of Ralph and Daisy (Gideon) Heironimus. Kenny had worked for many years at Continental Baking Company, driving and selling Hostess products. He enjoyed many of life’s simple pleasures, including playing golf and softball, reading, doing crossword puzzles, woodworking, mowing, and spending time outdoors. Survivors include his beloved wife of 66 years, Winnie Jo (Owens) Heironimus; two children, Rick Heironimus (Pam Nelson) and Jill (Doug) Burbeck; grandchildren, Nathan (Michelle), Aaron (Stephanie), Laura Jo, and Casey (Corey); great-grandchildren, Avery, Amelia, Noah, Natalie, Eli, Claire, Camden, and Chloe; one brother, Dale (Lily) Heironimus; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Gary Heironimus. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm on Wednesday, July 2 in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME. Friends may visit with the family for one hour prior to the services. Burial will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be shared with Kenny’s family at www.jkzfh.com.
