Larry H. Davis, a cherished father, grandfather, sibling, and friend, passed away peacefully with his grandson by his side on July 23, 2025, in Dayton, Ohio. Born on February 6, 1943, in Springfield, Ohio, Larry was a beacon of joy and ingenuity to all who knew him. He was predeceased by his beloved parents, Virgil and Frances (Rinehart) Davis, his children, Eric and Mindy, his siblings, Virgil Jr., James, Homer, Gilbert, Ethel, Marilyn, and Orena, and his devoted wife, Lorri Deanne.
Larry's life was one of dedication and service, both to his family and his community. He was a proud graduate of North High School, part of the inaugural class when the school first opened its doors. Larry's professional journey as a machinist and carpenter was marked by precision and a strong work ethic, traits that he carried into his retirement when he found joy in working at Ethel's Flower Shop. There, he continued to touch lives with his kindness and his willingness to lend a helping hand.
Aside from his professional endeavors, Larry was a man of many passions. He had a remarkable talent for making candies and fudge, a skill that delighted family, friends, and anyone fortunate enough to taste his confections. His love for photography captured moments of beauty and significance, preserving memories for generations to come.
Larry's legacy is carried on by his daughter, Kelli, his grandchildren, Michael (Alexandria) Mount, and his great-grandchildren, Avary, Everly, and Oaklynd, who will forever cherish the love and lessons he imparted. His sister, Nancy Davis-Hanna, will hold dear the memories of her brother, whose presence was a constant source of strength and comfort.
A man of humor, warmth, and creativity, Larry's absence will be deeply felt by all who had the pleasure of crossing paths with him. His life was a testament to the simple, yet profound impact one individual can have on the lives of many. Larry H. Davis may have departed from this world, but his spirit and the love he shared will resonate for eternity. Larry’s wishes were to be cremated.
