Lorraine Elizabeth "Betty" Massie

Pastor Lorraine Elizabeth “Betty” Massie, 87, of Springfield went home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 18, 2024, in Soin Medical Center. She was born September 30, 1936, in Springfield, the daughter of Earl Wayne and Lorraine Esther (Martin) Post. Pastor Masie opened the Lighthouse Church in Limecrest in 1974 and had pastored the church for 50 years. Betty will always be remembered for her kindness and compassion, her love of the Lord and her willingness to help anyone in need. She was a true Christian warrior. Survivors include four children; Douglas (Susan) Massie, Mark (Rosalee Popov-Massie) Massie, Jeffrey Massie and Timothy (Beth) Massie, grandchildren; Douglas (Amy) Massie Jr., Jennifer Nicole (Thomas) Waters, Ryan Andrew (Stephanie) Massie, Tyler Thomas (Kristen) Massie, Katelyn Elizabeth Massie, Brianna Rose Massie, Melody Joy Massie, Danae Nikohl Massie (Mike DeWitt), Alissa Marie Massie and Mikaela Rose Massie, two step grandchildren; Bryce Allen Dooley and Nicole Renee Davis, numerous great grandchildren, one step great grandchild and many nieces, nephews and beloved friends. Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband; Harry Warren Massie, siblings; Angela Cross, Wayne Martin Post and Louella Riley and her parents Visitation will be held from 3:30PM until 5:00PM Sunday, September 29, 2024, in the Bridge Church, 4650 Ridgewood Road East, Springfield, Ohio 45503. Funeral services will be held at 5:00PM with Pastor Pauline Hamblin officiating.  Arrangements are being handled by the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME.
