Marian Sue (Sweitzer) Jenkins

     Marian Sue Jenkins, 79, of Springfield, passed away January 23, 2025, in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 19, 1945, in Springfield, Ohio, the daughter of Marion and Mary N. (Brewer) Sweitzer. Mrs. Jenkins enjoyed family gatherings, the Cincinnati Reds, the Cincinnati Bengals and The Ohio State Buckeyes. Survivors include her beloved husband of 60 plus years; Vernon D. Jenkins Sr., five children; Robert (Margarita) Jenkins, Rick (Kendra) Jenkins, William Jenkins, Ginger (Wayne) Stewart and Joee Dale Jenkins, 37 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, one sister; Karen Rudy and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter; Molly Garvey, a son; Vernon D. Jenkins Jr., a grandson; Steven Parks, a great granddaughter; Hailey Jenkins, a great grandson; Brian Jenkins, 6 brothers, 1 sister and her parents. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Rick Clos officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the services.
