Mary Ellen Brown

          Mary Ellen Brown, 67, of Springfield, passed away February 5, 2025, in Springfield Regional Medical Center. She was born February 21, 1957, in Springfield, the daughter of Frank and Lillian (Seagraves) Brown, Mary enjoyed sewing and doing puzzles, but she especially enjoyed spending time with her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had been employed at the Rocking Horse Center. Survivors include one daughter; Candy (David) Smith, three grandchildren; Aaron Smith, Austin (Jayden) Smith and Searra Smith, four great grandchildren; A. J. Smith, Layla Smith, Olivia Smith and Myla Whitman and one more due in August, siblings; Forrest Brown, Debbie (Bruce) Freeze and Barbara Brown, best friend; Kim Leonard and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by a son; Brad Brown, siblings; Letha Chapman, John Brown, Frank Brown, Ivy Roberts, Julie Brown and Dale Brown Sr. and her parents. Visitation will be held from 5:00PM until 8:00PM Tuesday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be held at 8:00PM with Pastor Russell Andrews Jr. officiating.
