Michael James Cafeo, Jr.

Michael James Cafeo, Jr., 74, of Springfield, passed away April 15, 2022 in his home. He was born August 28, 1947 in Springfield, the son of Mary Louise (Hurley) and Michael James Cafeo, Sr. Michael was a member of the Union Club and the Eagles. He was a bigtime car enthusiast and avid NASCAR fan, and he enjoyed going to the casinos. Survivors include two children, Mary Lou (Bethann) Swigert of South Vienna and Mark Wilson Cafeo of Springfield; grandson, Lance Bartee; sisters, Toni Jeanne (George) Marsh, Jocelyn Ann Ivancic, and Elena Teresa Jordan; close friends, Jim Justice and Chris Thompson; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by son, Michael James Cafeo, III; siblings, Mary Lou Ackerman and Richard Joseph Cafeo, Sr.; and his parents. A memorial gathering of family and friends will be held from 5-8 p.m. Friday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME. Condolences may be shared at www.jkzfh.com.
