Michael "Mike" Cottingham

Michael “Mike” Cottingham, 77, of Springfield, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 21, 2025. He was born in Springfield on July 1, 1947.He was preceded in death by his wife of 37 years, Diane; his parents, William “Bill” Cottingham and W. June Alig; maternal and paternal grandparents; one step-nephew; and numerous aunts and uncles. He is survived by one stepdaughter; several step-grandchildren; two sisters, Lynne and Leslie; nieces, Gayle Rae and Kelly; nephew, David Michael; several step-nieces and nephews; and numerous great-nieces and nephews. Mike graduated from Shawnee High School, and he retired from White Motors in Springfield, where he was lovingly known as “Tiny” and “Big Mike.” He will be remembered for his love of fishing and camping with his family and friends. As he wished, there will be no services or memorial. Cremation was handled by the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME. Condolences may be shared at www.jkzfh.com.
