Mylie Lynn Efferin

Mylie Lynn Efferin, 69, of Springfield, went home to be with the Lord on September 7, 2024 in Springfield Regional Medical Center. She was born April 22, 1955 in Miami, Florida, the daughter of William Luther and Kathryn Lula (Jacks) Justice, Jr. Mylie was a member of the Greater Life Church, She enjoyed fishing, gardening, and family celebrations. She had been employed in home health care. Survivors include her husband of 24 years, Michael R. Efferin; one son, Dwayne Self, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Tina Self; two grandchildren, Jacob Daniel Lee Self and Rebecca Lynn Self; siblings, April Childs, William (Brenda) Justice III, and Tina Colon; brother-in-law, Lucky Shelton; nieces and nephews, Amy Cochran, Kathryn (Justin) Minnick, Christopher (Sandy) Cochran, Elizabeth Cochran, William (Danielle) Justice IV, and Daniel Justice; great-nieces and nephews, Jimmy Mackie, Nathan Minnick, Hailey Irene Cochran, Braydon, Skylar, Nevaeh White, Kathryn Cochran, Sylvia, Victor Shaw, and Luther Rusnak. She was preceded in death by a son, John Self; a nephew, Charles Terry Cochran, Jr.; former husband, Dwayne Self, Sr.; sister, Sandra Shelton; and her parents. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday in the Greater Life Church with Pastor Paul Dowdy officiating. Friends may visit with the family for one hour prior to the services.
