Norman Richard “Pops” Jump, 83, of Springfield, passed away January 10, 2021 in Springfield Regional Medical Center. He was born December 29, 1937 in Springfield, the son of Ellsworth and Annabelle (Fair) Jump. Mr. Jump attended Central Christian Church. He was a member of the V.F.W. and the Eagles. He enjoyed gardening and spending time and taking vacations with his loving family and special friends. Mr. Jump was a 21 ½ year Veteran of the United States Army having served in Vietnam. Following his military career he was employed as an Allstate Insurance Agent until his retirement. Survivors include three children; Kris (Jack) Denton, Jessica Jump (Beth McCrite) and Norman “Rusty” Jump, grandchildren; Scarlet (Joshua), Mandy (Brandon), Audreanna (Steve), Cori, Bre (Ben), Ronald, Allison, Markie, Casey, Nate, Joey, Devon and Amber, numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, special friends and extended family, Vickie Sibole and Sandy Miller. He was preceded in death by his loving wife; Margaret E. Jump, August 4, 2020, a brother; Edwin Michael Jump and his parents. Visitation will be held from 5:00PM until 8:00PM Friday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be held at 10:30AM Saturday in the funeral home with Pastor Carl Ruby officiating. Masks will be required. Burial will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
